I just love the way Ballet Folklorico de Mexico performs them and some day I would like my group to dance them as well. This of course is not all l love to dance, another region of love a lot is the Huasteca region, especially that of Veracruz and Hidalgo. These dances to me are all about the foot work and that’s what I like to show my talent with my feet. Yes I love to wave my skirt around and do all the beautiful skirt movements, but I feel that takes away from what does most of the work, my feet. In the Huasteca region all are pretty much knee length and show what your feet are doing. I feel that this region has so much power because of the footwork and the sound of the footwork.; ▶ Reply to This

El Circo has always been a favorite of mine. Maestro Jose Tena came down from New Mexico and taught my high school group Revolucion de Chihuahua; that was a lot of fun, I'd never really acted in dance before, and it was fun getting to play the soldier in El Adios del Soldado.; ▶ Reply to This
