childrens tap shoes as folklorico shoes?

Hola,

Que opinan? I found white pleather children's tap shoes w/o taps @ dannsyswharehouse for $10. I was so excited until I found out they were not mary jane style strap closure they are regular bow tie!! :( We can add elastic instead of ribbon tie. Do you think this shoe is a good option for my girls? I can't find folklorico or character shoes in sizes 12-2 for under $20! (They look like the picture but w/o taps)

In addition, you strike the floor differently in folklorico than tap. We allow tap shoes in our folklorico classes for only 4 weeks so that the parents can see if their child is committed. If so, we ask the parent to purchase the proper shoe for class. Make sure the folklorico is a low heel for children.; ▶ Reply to This
