Event Description

Join ACTA for free information meetings throughout the state to learn about funding opportunities for folk and traditional arts. You must be based in California. We have Master/Apprentice opportunities and grants for organizations. Please visit our website for information. www.actaonline.org

Meetings begin April 17 Santa Cruz, April 29 Los Angeles, May 4 Fresno, May 7 San Jose, May 12 Oakland, May 13 San Diego, TBA Riverside.

We have funded Mariachi music lessons, jarana making, folklorico repertoire, Mixtec culture classes and more! Consider those master artists who are keepers of traditional knowledge (foodways, embroidery; weavers, medicine, instrument and music making besides beautiful folklorico dance)
